Health Care Reform

Signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or simply the Affordable Care Act (ACA), aims to increase the quality of preventive care as well as make health insurance more accessible and affordable for many Americans. Some provisions of the law have already taken effect, while many more provisions should be implemented in the next few years.

This guide provides a starting point to find information about the Affordable Care Act and its provisions.
